A surfboard is classified as oversized sports equipment; the charge for transporting it is €100 per flight (if booked more than 48 hours in advance) or €125 (if booked less than 48 hours in advance).
If you are travelling with several surfboards, the charge applies per carry bag transported, not per board.
For example, for a journey from Paris to Papeete, you are carrying a bag containing 3 surfboards:
- A flight from Paris to Papeete consists of two legs: Paris to San Francisco (leg 1) and San Francisco to Papeete (leg 2).
- One surfboard bag costs €100 per leg/flight
- Total cost: €100 x 2 = €200
You can add this type of equipment online via the ‘Manage my booking’ section or by telephone.
90 cm x 75 cm x 55 cm (L + H + W = 2.2 m) and a maximum of 302 cm
The carriage of your sports equipment is not included in the price of your ticket.
Sports equipment is not considered standard baggage and is not included in your free baggage allowance.
IMPORTANT: Sports equipment is treated as baggage and is subject to the same charges as specified in the booking process.
