This is not permitted as long as there is space available in the areas designated for storing your cabin baggage.
However, if your flight is full or nearly full on the day of departure, airport staff may, in exceptional circumstances, offer to check in your cabin baggage free of charge, provided it complies with the permitted dimensions and weight:
Dimensions: maximum 55 x 35 x 25 cm
Weight: maximum 12 kg (including the total weight of any accessories)
*However, this option is limited and cannot be guaranteed: it depends on the operational conditions of the flight and is only considered where necessary.
In this case, you will only be able to take one small item, such as a handbag or rucksack (maximum dimensions: 40 x 30 x 20 cm), into the cabin.
⚠️ Good to know!
This option is not automatically available. It depends on how full your flight is and may only be offered to you at the time of check-in at the airport.
On a return journey, you may be offered this option on the outbound leg, but not necessarily on the return leg. It all depends on the conditions on the day 😉
🎒 A quick reminder about luggage!
Any cabin baggage that does not comply with the rules (regarding dimensions, weight or number of items) will be charged as an extra bag and checked in.
